Glasses
I've been having headaches pretty much everyday for just over a month now, so I went to get my eyes checked yesterday. I now need to get glasses. My eyes are very strained for sitting in front of a computer all day at work, so I will only need to wear my glasses at work, and for reading. The optometrist said that my eyes were causing some of my headaches, but not all of them. I have a doctors appointment at the end of the month, so we'll see what she says. I'm planning on going to look at frames tomorrow morning. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what shape of frames would suit me?

My only advice is to try on a lot of different styles. I know from choosing with my husband and kids that sometimes what actually looks good is very different than what you think will look good. :-) And have fun!
We're going to miss being at the rink all the time! But summer's around the corner..
I've been wearing glasses since I was 6, so I've had my share of 'ugly' frames. I agree with Rachelle. Try on a ton of frames, but in the end, don't let a sales person talk you into anything - you are the one that has to live with them. And take someone with you who will give you an honest opinion. And if you don't like anything at the first optical you go to, don't feel like you have to settle! I probably went to about 8 different places before I found onese that I loved.

I've had glasses since I was in grade 4 and yes, the best advice is to try on a ton of frames. One great feature at Focal Point is that they take your picture with the frames on and then you can see yourself and how you actually look. Very helpful. Good thing you have coverage at Meridian, huh?
I can't wait to see some pictures of the frames you picked. I always have a ton of problems when I'm picking frames too!!! Even now, after years and years of wearing glasses :P Hope you have fun at Stars on Ice ;-)
